Yu-Beng has earned multiple Life! Theatre Awards, including Best Actor in 2005 (The Lover, The Dumb Waiter), Best Supporting Actor in 2004 (Bent), and Best Acting Ensemble in 2002 (Animal Farm). His film work includes lead roles in Singapore Dreaming and Solos, international projects such as Kung Fu Killers and The Great Wall (2008), and supporting roles in Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, and HBO Asia’s Grace. On television, he has led series’ such as Identiti, Lion Mums, and The New Home, and appeared in all four seasons of the hit series Triple 9. He has also written and directed original musicals and theatre works such as It’s My Life, 2 Houses, and Pearl of the Eastern & Oriental, the latter two sell-out productions for the Georgetown Festival in Penang.
